A Word of Gratitude for Hope’s Dedicated Volunteers
Dear Friends of Hope,
Volunteer Appreciation Week gives us a special opportunity to recognize our volunteers’ commitment to Hope Services. I believe that our volunteers represent the heart of our mission – as a Hope volunteer, you choose inclusion, acceptance, and kindness for all. And in doing so, you deeply enrich our community.
Whether working behind the scenes at one of our thrift stores, serving on our Board of Directors, providing language translation, or virtual program support, your love of our mission and clients is always apparent. Saying “thank you” just does not seem to capture the depth of our appreciation for your gift of time, talents and treasure to our cause. You are such a critical part of our team at Hope Services, and we are stronger because of you.
As Hope Services celebrates its 70th Anniversary this year, we want you to know just how valuable your support has been to us. Every hour of service matters; and it adds up to significant impact over time. Without your assistance across the organization over the past year, we could not have served 654 new families.
We know that you could spend your free time doing anything, and yet you chose to help Hope Services and our clients thrive. As restrictions subside and our programs return to their normal operation, we look forward to a broader range of volunteer opportunities opening up – including both in-person and continued virtual opportunities. We look forward to partnering with our volunteers in new and exciting ways in the coming year, and are glad you’re with us.
The work you do is important, necessary, and such a generous contribution. The entire team at Hope Services and the people we serve are sincerely grateful for you. We hope that you are well, and we look forward to seeing and serving alongside you soon.
With gratitude,
Charles “Chip” Huggins, JD
